Let's Talk About Why
The philosophy behind Choirhub
I didn’t set out to build software.
I set out to solve a problem I had seen again and again inside real choirs.
After years working alongside choir directors, committees, and singers, I realised something surprising — the hardest part of choir life often isn’t the music. It’s the organisation behind it.
Important messages get buried. Music files live in too many places. Admin takes energy away from rehearsals. And passionate volunteers end up carrying an exhausting load just to keep everything moving.
That’s why I built Choirhub.
Not to add another app — but to create one connected home where choir life actually makes sense.
A place where communication feels calm, music is easy to find, and communities stay connected between rehearsals. Where technology supports the music instead of competing with it.
Because choirs are about people first.
My vision is simple:
Less time managing. More time making music together.
If you’re part of a choir — welcome. This space was built with you in mind. 🎵
Choirhub is designed as a complete digital home for your choir — not just a single tool.
Instead of paying for multiple apps for communication, music sharing, scheduling, and administration, everything lives in one connected platform.
That means simpler management, less admin stress, and more time focused on making music together.

People and culture
Community choirs are a snapshot of the community at large, but with one thing in common - they love music, singing and performing. Across this community there is always a range of abilities, wants and needs. Some people take to new ideas in their stride, others struggle with change. Some people feel overwhelmed when new things are expected of them and can feel insecure and disconnected.
Choirhub has been built to address as many of these different challenges as it can, while strengthening the community it is designed to support.
Simplicity is the key here. By trying to make it as easy as possible to eliminate pain points Choirhub has been designed from the ground up to make it easy for people to embrace something new.
Often ordinary members of any choir find themselves constantly feeling disconnected, almost like things are happening TO them, not FOR them. This comes down to how the organisation struggles to communicate succinctly and clearly. It is an ongoing challenge and one that Choirhub seeks to address.
While there is a lot that can be said about how Choirhub is there to support members, the unseen area is in how much work is being done behind the scenes by unpaid volunteers who run the organisation. And believe me, it is a LOT. These people need systems and support that can lighten the load while at the same time providing benefits seamlessly to the organisation at large. That is what actually underpins the Choirhub philosophy.
